About Katie
I am a Senior Claims Underwriter in the Marine, Energy and Speciality team, where my main focus is handling marine liability claims, including marine employers liability, P&I and charterers and ship repairers liability. I have over 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry. I joined Hiscox in 2021 and prior to this I worked in the Legal team for another Lloyd’s Syndicate, advising the business on both claims and underwriting issues, as well as wordings and commercial matters. I found claims the most interesting, diverse and often complex area of my role and subsequently transferred to claims adjusting full time in 2016, specialising in the marine and crisis management classes of business. I qualified as a Solicitor in 2012, training at a leading London insurance law firm.
