About Rachel
I’m a Senior Claims Underwriter and I joined the London Market Property team in September 2024. My role involves adjusting and managing claims from our Major Property, Alternative Risk, Delegated Authority and Flood lines as well as reporting, as and when relevant to our key stakeholders and supporting the Property Claims Manager where needed.
I’ve worked in the insurance industry for coming up to 10 years now starting in the UK retail space handling Home and Commercial Property claims, before moving into the London Market as an International Claims Broker for a large Lloyds Wholesale broker, here I was responsible for managing range of Property D&F claims and RI arrangements. In 2020 I moved back to the insurer/syndicate side as a Property Claims Adjuster and have gained experience handling a variety of large and complex international D&F and Delegated Authority matters, mostly in CAT exposed and heavily litigated jurisdictions.
Over the past two years I have been actively involved in various LMA committees and currently am Chair of the Property Insurance Claims Group (PICG) – Emerging professionals, this a sub-committee to the PICG that focuses on education and networking opportunities for emerging talent in the market. I’ve also previously been involved in the Delegated Authority Claims Group (DACG) – Emerging Professionals and more recently the DACG.
